Understanding HTML

The Internet is full of content. Pretty much everything you can think of is waiting for you to see, and it was all put there by people like you and me.

You too can take an active role in creating content for the web. HTML is the key to getting your ideas out there for others to see.

HTML stands for hypertext markup language.

While it sounds like a computer language, it wasn’t created to make the average person annoyed when using it.

The best way to think of HTML is as a set of descriptions wrapped around your words and images to make them appear in a web browser.
